Ontario Standards Import
Introduction
This page provides instructions on importing predefined standards into your system. These standards coincide with all marks for grades 1-8, and the learning skills and work habits marks for grades 9-12.
It is extremely important to strictly adhere to these instructions and set up values exactly as specified.
You must log in to the District Office before performing these procedures.
Before importing the files, you must import the nine standards conversion scales.
There are multiple files:
Simplified Elementary Schools Learning Skills Standards Setup as described below (Recommended)
- Standards Identifiers - Elementary 1-6 - suppress the "Learning Skills and Work Habits" if you are using the Simplified Elementary Schools Learning Skills Standards Setup.
- Standards Identifiers - Elementary 7-8 - suppress the "Learning Skills and Work Habits" if you are using the Simplified Elementary Schools Learning Skills Standards Setup.
Elementary Report Cards - Math Standards Changes
- Standards Identifiers - Secondary 9-12 or use Simplified Secondary Schools Standards Setup described below - Recommended

Simplified Secondary Schools Standards Setup
This setup allows boards to attach multiple course numbers to one standard. This setup must be used for all new boards/schools using PowerSchool.
- On the Start page, under Setup, click District. The District Setup page appears.
- Click Standards, then click List Standards. The Standards page appears.
- Create the following standards:
