The report will export the (FT) Student Truancy and Excessive Absence Record section of the OH EMIS report. This report includes all students who have an FT record on the Truancy and Chronic Absenteeism Detail page.
Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. For the Student Truancy and Excessive Absence Record, student records are selected.
The report selects which school records to use based on the following criteria:
- The school must be associated with a student included in the report.
- The student is not excluded from state reporting (State/Province - OH > Home Tab > State_ExcludeEnrollment).
- Students are selected where an FT record exists with a date that falls within the report start and end dates.
To set up PowerSchool for this report:
- Navigate to Start Page > Student Selection > Truancy/Chronic - OH > Truancy and Chronic Absenteeism Detail. Enter appropriate FT records based on the Ohio EMIS manual rules.

If run at the district level, choose one of the following:
If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
Current Selection Students
Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options:
Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.
|Report Start Date
|Entering 7/1/xx will capture all dates for the start of the current fiscal year.
|Report End Date
|Entering 6/30/xx will capture all dates through the end of the current fiscal year.
The report is only required for the Students(S) reporting period. The reporting period is defaulted to Students(S).
Select the fiscal year for the report.
Select this option to execute the report in the order it is received in the report queue.

Enter the start date and start time for the report.
Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report are described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.

The sort type equals FT for Student Truancy and Excessive Absence Record report.
The fiscal year defaults to the fiscal year entered on the report interface.
This is defaulted to S for the Student reporting collections. Can be set to X for Student Records Exchange
This field contains the district number. This field value is extracted from the Edit District page, Start Page > District Setup > District Information.
Student EMIS ID
This field contains the EMIS student ID number assigned by the district to this student. This field value is extracted from the Student Number field on the General Demographics page, Start Page > Student Selection > General Demographics and prepended with the EMIS Prefix ID, if entered, else zeroes are added to create a 9-digit number.
The date associated with the absence event. Format is CCYYMMDD.
Used to indicate the type of absence event.
