All States/Provinces: Minimum PowerSchool Version for State Reporting - 22.5.1.2

The minimum supported version on PowerSchool SIS State/Provincial Reporting installer is updated and can now be installed on PowerSchool SIS 22.5.1.2 or later. For details refer to PowerSchool SIS – Supported PowerSchool Versions.

The Language Instruction field is updated and the 07-Other option is now disabled for the 2023-2024 school year.

ADVISER 2023-2024 Data Entry: Nebraska Special Education Student Programs Update

The Student Programs page for Nebraska Special Education programs is updated for the 2023-2024 school year. The following fields are added when the user selects the Nebraska Special Education program:

1. IEP Begin Date

2. Additional Disability 2

3. Additional Disability 3

4. Additional Disability 4

5. Additional Disability 5

6. Transition Delay Reason

The data is published under the StudentSpecialEducationProgram resource.

PSSR-326240

ADVISER 2023-2024 Publishing: New Profile Setup

A new ADVISER 2023-2024 profile has been added, with the following attributes:

• The ADVISER 2023-24 profile is released in an ‘enabled’ state so that it shows as visible in the left pane, with the ‘School Year’ and all ‘Service Options’ checked on the DEX General Setup page.

• The ADVISER 2023-24 profile is released with the 6.1 Data Exchange and Authentication URLs pre-populated, and with the district’s Authentication Key and Secret copied forward into the new profile.

Note: While the ADVISER 2023-24 profile is made available so that districts can start publishing their School Calendars when the state opens the 2023-24 ODS, the profile does not include all 2023-24 changes. Additional updates supporting 2023-24 changes will be available in future state reporting releases.

Important: Users must test the connection and save it in the General Setup page configuration before publishing any date to ADVISER via Ed-Fi.

Unique-ID State ID Request File Extract Update

Unique-ID State ID Request File: Version 1.3

The Unique-ID State ID Request File report is updated to extract Legal Names for Columns B, C and D. If the legal names are empty then the fields extract blank. The middle name is not shortened or truncated. Columns N and O extract the Preferred First Name and Last Name.

Additionally, the report is updated to support special characters like apostrophes, tildes, and ampersand (except comma).

Update to Federal Ethnicity and Race Codes

In the District Setup, the Federal Ethnicity and Race Codes are now updated to single-character codes as follows:

• W = White

• B = Black or African American

• A = Asian

• I = American Indian or Alaskan Native

• P = Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander

Important: This does NOT impact any data entry on the student races.
