K12 Student Attendance

This resource publishes Student Daily Attendance including present days, excused absences, and unexcused absences.

  • The students that are published must NOT be excluded from state reporting.

  • The school must not be excluded from reporting. No students will be published from a school that is excluded from reporting.

Saturdays, Sundays, and days not in session such as holidays or teacher workdays are excluded.

Note:

  • This resource is updated to support sub-district capabilities in MS MSIS 2.0 for charter schools and includes publishing of the correct District and School references across the system. For more information, refer to the Additional Setup for Charter Schools section.

  • The resource is updated to publish based on the district that is associated with it.

The following change impacts this resource:

The school’s StatePrId field is now used as an override for the School Number when publishing School Identifier on resources via DEX. This update primarily affects charter schools but can also be used for public schools with alternate schools.

The K12 Student Attendance Resource is updated and this can now be scheduled to publish changes once daily.

  1. The K12 Student Attendance resource appears under the ON DEMAND Category.

  2. Customers can publish immediately using the Run Now option.

  3. Customers can run it daily to publish the changes using the Schedule option.

Note: Customers must use the Publish 45 Days option. This publishes all attendance data for the past 45 days based on the current system date.

Pre-requisite Attendance Setup:

The Attendance Setup is based on the current setup required for the Monthly Student Data (MSD) report. Refer to Mississippi Attendance Reports and the 63% Rule.
