Student Setup

The following data elements are required for student setup.

  1. On the Start Page, click the School link at the top of the page.

  2. Choose the appropriate school from the pop-up menu. The school Start Page appears.

  3. Select the first letter of the student’s last name.

  4. Select a student from the list. The last accessed student information page opens for the student selected.

Note: When importing values for student information entered with a checkbox, import 1 for Y (Yes) and 0 for N (No).

The value in this field overrides the student's preferred name on reports. This field is only required if legal name does not match preferred name.

Select the student’s race. More than one selection can be made.

If a student is not marked as being Hispanic or Latino, the race(s) will be reported.

Exclude children of foreign diplomats, U.S. citizens, children who were born abroad, and children of foreign residents temporarily in the U.S. for business or pleasure.

Use the District Information page to define the Instruction Method codes that appear in the drop-down list on the student Learning Preferences page. Your district has provided Student Setup#pre-populated codes, which may be customized with the exception of the two-digit code value, which may not be modified. Your district may also add additional Instruction Method codes if needed. It is recommended that customizations be done prior to entering or importing student-level records.

Student records can be manually entered individually or mass imported into the S_STU_LEARNINGPREF_C child table using the Data Import Manager.

Adding Test Results

New/Edit Student Test [Test Results]

Note: To report ASVAB scores in the June ASVAB submission, test scores must be entered at the student level. Test scores can also be imported using the Import Test function. Review additional information about importing test scores.

  1. On the start page, search for and select a student.

  2. Under Academics, choose Test Results from the student pages menu. The Test Results page appears for that student.

  3. Choose the ASVAB test from the Enter New Test pop-up menu. The New Student Test: [Test Name] page appears.

  4. Use the following table to enter information in the fields. Only the Number score (numeric) Test Score is reported for ASVAB.

  5. Click Submit. The Test Scores page displays the new test score for that student.
