Ethnicity and Race Codes

You must define the following ethnicity codes for the district. For recommended setup, go to IN District Setup of Federal Ethnicity and Race Settings on Community.

Reporting logic:

• If a Yes value is assigned for: "Ethnicity: Is the student Hispanic or Latino?" on the Student Demographics page, the student’s ethnicity/race is reported with a value of 4 (Hispanic Ethnicity and of any race) on the report.

• If a No value is assigned for: "Ethnicity: Is the student Hispanic or Latino?"  on the Student Demographics page AND
  

  • One race code is selected on the Demographics page, the student is reported with that race code (1, 2, 3, 5, 7) on the report.

  • More than one race code is selected on the Demographics page, the student is reported with a value of (6) Multiracial (two or more races) on the report.

Note: The descriptions are optional and may be abbreviated as needed.
