Migrant Course History Report

Introduction

This report contains course and grade data for migrant students in grades 9 through 12. This report is submitted twice a year, once in January and again in June. This is a district level report.

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Selection Criteria

  • Student must be in grades 9-12.

  • Student must not be excluded from state reporting.

  • Student must have been enrolled at some point during the report date range.

  • Student must be flagged as Migrant (Migrant = Y)

  • The student must not have opted out of the AMYA report ([S_AK_STU_X]OptOutAMYA cannot equal 1)

Note: The student SHSEQ numbers must be entered for each necessary student prior to running this report.

Field

Description

School(s) to report

Choose one of the following:

  • Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet selection criteria. To change the current school, click the School link at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.

  • All Schools – Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet selection criteria.

Note: The All Schools option is only available when running the report from the District Office.

Students to Include

Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options:

  • The selected [number] students only – Run the report for students in the current selection.

  • All students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria.

Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.

Start Date

Enter the start date for the reporting period.

End Date

Enter the end date for the reporting period.

Submission Period

Select the appropriate submission period:

  • Fall

  • Spring

Store Codes

Select at least one store code to include on the report. To select multiple store codes, hold down the SHIFT or the CTRL key and click the desired codes.

Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report are described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.

For courses that were NOT been completed (or credit granted), a numerical grade (percentage) of student performance for the grade-to-date that the student has completed at the time of withdrawal.

Note: This is only report for courses that were not completed or classes where no credit was awarded.

If the student completed the course, regardless of credit being awarded, this will be blank.
