State Reporting 21.6.2.0 Release Notes

Attendance Profile Report: Version 1.1
The Attendance Profile report PDF library is updated and the pagination from ‘Page X of Y’ to ‘Page X’.

Additionally, due to the large PDF size that can result if the report is run for a large selection of students, a validation is added to the report page to restrict the number of students to 200.

The RecompilePSSchema.sql files for all states are updated with the compile_all => FALSE constraint, in the DBMS_UTILITY function.

Digital Equity and Learning Preferences page is updated to show the data while editing, even if there are special characters inside the data.

The Miscellaneous page in District is updated to save the Pref to Enable Digital Equity and Learning Preference in the Public Portal correctly.

Districts have the option to begin collecting AEO and Tribal Affiliation data beginning in the 2021-22 school year. A new screen is added for Districts to add the new AEO and Tribal Affiliation codes (Setup > District > Wisconsin State Information > Load Ancestry/Ethnic Origins and Tribal Affiliation).  Running this process will update the Federal Ethnicity and Race Settings screen.  This is a one time irreversible process.  All existing data on the Federal Ethnicity and Race Settings screen will be deleted.  The following updates will be made:

• Ethnicity Decline to Specify will be unchecked
• Race Decline to Specify will be unchecked
• All Federal/District race codes will be replaced with the Wisconsin Ancestry/Ethnic Origins and Tribal Affiliation designations.

Running this process will update data on the student Demographic, WISEid Student Information and Choice student screen. The following updates will be made:

• Any student who has Federal Ethnicity set to Yes will automatically be given a Hispanic or Latino code of Unknown.

The following updates are made:

Courses Page

• CWCS Course Code is no longer required and is moved to the Obsolete section of the page.
• The ‘SCED 7 Course Code’ label is updated to ‘SCED Course Code’.

Sections Page

• The ‘CWCS Course Code’ label is updated to ‘SCED Course Code’ and includes the Rigor Level.

On the StudentSchoolAttendanceEvent resource, the EventDuration was published as 1.00 for Calendar days that only have 0.50 Membership when a student is absent for that day.
This issue is now fixed and the EventDuration publishes as 0.50 (or whatever apportionment) when a student is absent on the partial Calendar day.

In the WI Immunization page, if a student does not have a WISEId, an alert message will be displayed to indicate that the request cannot be completed.

Wisconsin Ed-Fi StudentSchoolAssociation Attendance
Under certain circumstances, students' attendance figures are being overinflated and sometimes showing a higher membership value than the school has membership days for the year. This issue has been resolved and attendance will now correctly report.

Student School Associations
The Entry Date field logic has been updated to publish the First in session date when it is greater than or equal to the Entry date.
Student Programs.
The Begin Date field logic has been updated to publish the First in session date when it is greater than or equal to the Entry date. Below are the entity programs that have the updated logic.

• Student Program
• Student Special Education Program
• Student CTE Program
• Student Language Instruction Program
• Student School Food Service Program

A new Checkbox for the 2021-2022 School Year is added to the Ed-Fi V3 Profile.

The view for Course Offering shows SCED8 instead of SCED5.

Description:
Sub-District functionality has been updated and now end users will be alerted if Sub-District functionality is enabled but the following setup steps have not been completed:

• No Sub-Districts have been defined.
• One or more schools have not been assigned to a Sub-District. This logic does not apply to schools that are excluded from state reporting.

In either case, the following message will display:

• Sub-District functionality is enabled but setup is incomplete. All schools not excluded from state reporting must be assigned to a sub-district.

In rare instances, Parentally Placed Private and Primary Service Provider can both be Yes. The validation warning ‘Parentally Placed Private and Primary Service Provider cannot both be Yes’ is removed on the following pages:

PI-1441 School Food Report: Version 1.4

The report is updated to work with the new Ancestry/Ethnic Origins (AEO) and Tribal Affiliation codes or the Federal Race and Ethnicity codes.

The following updates are made:

The Primary ELL/Bilingual Program label is renamed to match the DPI description and is now labeled ‘Language Instruction Services’.

The ‘Language Instruction Services’ select list is updated to include the ‘EN - ESL/Bilingual - Newcomer-Bilingual’ code value.

When the English Language Proficiency Classification was set to a specific code certain fields were being hidden. These fields are unhidden, greyed out, and disabled when not required. The update is made on the following pages:

WISEid Person Upload: Version 1.9

The report is updated to work with the new Ancestry/Ethnic Origins (AEO) and Tribal Affiliation codes or the Federal Race and Ethnicity codes.

The following new data collection and updates for the 20-21 submission are added to the Wisconsin CRDC pages:

• Wisconsin specific CRDC pages are updated to align with current coding standards, integrating Wisconsin specific fields onto the Common CRDC screen as page insertions.

• The Schools/School Info CRDC page is updated to include:

  • DIND-1 and DIND-2: COVID-related Directional Indicators (New)

  • Aggregate data entry for sexual assault or rape offenses involving staff members. (Optional for the 2020-2021 collection)

  • Aggregate data entry for staff and security staff FTE counts.

• The Courses CRDC page is updated to no longer allow selection of the AP category “OT – Other”.

• Data elements that are no longer collected for the 2020-21 submission are moved to deprecated field sections at the bottom of the respective CRDC pages.

• Collection year is removed from all CRDC pages.

• Student Log page updates:

  • CRDC OFFN-1. Offense Category items no longer collected are disabled (no longer select-able).

  • New field added: Perceived Religions Affiliation (Optional for the 2020-2021 collection).

    • The new field is displayed when the Religion bullying reason is selected.
