CTE Profile Report: Version 1.1

The following updates are made:

• State Endorsed Regional Career Pathway Status Type is removed from the report. This is no longer required by DPI.

• The CIP code column is expanded to print up to 20 characters.

• The Report Parameter page now states CTE related courses need to be identified as either Vocational or Career Tech or have an IAC Code specified.

• The Program Areas are listed in bold in a box to the right of the description.

• If a student receives certification on the Career Technical Education (CTE) page, an X will print in the box, otherwise, the box will be blank.

• The report output column Program is relabeled to Non-Certified Program.

If a student was enrolled in multiple schools or into the same school multiple times, duplicate and extra SPED records were being published for the student. SPED records will now correctly publish and are no longer duplicated.

The logic for the limitedEnglishProficiencyDescriptor data element on the studentEducationOrganizationAssociations resource has the following updates:

• If a Choice school and EnglishProfCode is null, publish as Null (empty element)

• If a Public school and EnglishProfCode is null, default to 7.

Ed-Fi now publishes the Grading Period descriptor according to class term of the associated section.

Ed-Fi: Modify Student Exclusion Logic

Ed-Fi publishing will be based on both the previous and current enrollments. If a student has a previous enrollment that is marked as excluded, then this enrollment will not be published, but any other enrollments for the year will be published. If the student's current enrollment is marked as excluded, then the current enrollment will not be published, but any other enrollments for the year will be published.

Ed-Fi: Remove Hard-Coded Namespaces from All V3 Descriptors

In order to align more fully with Ed-Fi publishing to the state ODS, hardcoded namespaces that were part of our publishing have been removed and the namespaces provided by the state will be used in its place.

Important: In order to prevent errors after installing this release, descriptors must be downloaded before any publishing occurs.

Ed-Fi is updated to correctly handle special characters that may appear as part of a district's key or secret.

Ed-Fi: Student Records Continuously Publish Causing Errors in the State ODS

When a student has transferred from one district to another, the first district is not authorized by the state to update their student record any longer. Previously, these records would result in dependencies that would continuously try to publish causes multiple errors in the State ODS. The system will now detect a student record that has successfully published in the past and will mark the record as published if the state returns an unauthorized error.

Ed-Fi: Terms Published by Context School ID, Not by Ed-Fi School Number

Ed-Fi will now add terms records based on the School ID and not the Ed-Fi School Number. This will prevent duplicate terms from showing in schools that use the same Ed-Fi School Number.
