PSSR-293646All States/Provinces: Attendance Change History Report - Report Parameter Update

Attendance Change History Report: Version 1.1

The Attendance Change History report page has been updated and now the report parameter drop-down boxes will populate as expected after moving the view to a repo schema call.

PSSR-289865All States/Provinces: Enrollment Entry-Exit Code List Changes

To support the Entry/Exit Code changes in PowerSchool 22.5.0 and maintain backward compatibility with earlier versions of PowerSchool, updates have been made and now the end users will see the following:

  • PowerSchool version 22.5.0 (or greater) - The Entry/Exit Codes will show as inactive after the defined effective end date.
  • PowerSchool versions prior to 22.5.0 - Entry/Exit Codes will behave as they always have (cannot be inactivated).

The Student Incident Profile report has been updated and will now print the incident description up to 4000 characters.

PSSR-248758All States/Provinces: System Log Error - "Field not added due to unsupported attribute" Update

The validation has been updated and this error will no longer propagate in the system log.

PSSR-290437CEDARS - 2022-2023 Data Collection Updates to Special Education Timeline and Student Supports

The following pages have been updated for 22-23 reporting:

The following new values are available from 2022-2023 for the "Eligible" field:

    • (4) Determined Eligible for Special Education Services and transitioning from the State Part C Program (Develop IEP)
    • (5) Determined NOT Eligible for Special Education Services and transitioning from the State Part C Program (Process Complete, no IEP to develop)
    • (6) Determined Eligible for Special Education Services and transitioning from the State Part C Program (Process Complete, no IEP to develop)

The following values are deactivated starting with the 2022-2023 school year (not selectable):

    • V07 Identification Assessment: (19) Not screened with an assessment
    • V09 Support Determination: (3)Not screened, at risk
PSSR-288084CEDARS - 2022-2023 Data Collection Updates: Changes: Race and Ethnicity Collection Methods

Updated student race and ethnicity codes have been added for the 22-23 school year. In addition, the valid options available for ‘Race Collection Method’ and ‘Ethnicity Collection Method’ have been updated for the 22-23 school year:

  • “3 – Student has not yet been resurveyed”
    • This option will no longer be selectable as of the 22-23 school year. It will be available for selection in the 21.22 school year and earlier.
  • ”4 – Resurvey request not completed by parent/guardian or the student, mapped from legacy code”
    • This is a new option as of the 22-23 school year.
PSSR-288083CEDARS - 2022-2023 Data Collection Updates: School Safety & Student Well-Being

To comply with 2022-2023 reporting requirements, the following updates have been made to the Incident Management data entry:

  1. Action code: ‘Restraint’ - sub-codes with updated descriptions as follows:
    • 6 – Handcuffs (by law enforcement, no arrest)
    • 7 – Handcuffs (performed by non-law enforcement)
    • 17 – Handcuffs (by law enforcement, arrested)
    • 18 – Other Restraint - Mechanical
  2. Action Attributes added as follows:
    1. Safety or security staff were involved
      1. Options: Yes/ No
    2. Safety or security used force - required if “Safety and Security Staff were involved" = Yes;
      1. Options: Yes/ No
    3. Student was arrested
      1. Options: Yes/ No
  3. Action code: ‘Interim Alternative Education Setting - new sub-code added as follows:
    • A – Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Removal
PSSR-288082CEDARS: New Course Designation Code for 2022-2023

The following new course designation code is available for use in the 2022-2023 school year:

  • J – Tribal Language Competency Test

All impacted pages have been updated to match the latest state requirements:

  • Edit Course (Start Page > School/District Setup > Courses > select a course)
  • Edit Section (Start Page > School Setup > Section > select a section)
  • New/edit stored grade (Student > Historical Grades [select stored grade])
  • Courses by year (Start Page > School Setup > Courses > Edit Course District Information > View Course By Year)
PSSR-287515Special Education Information Page - Added Guidance Regarding Appropriate Date Logic
  • Special Education Enrollments and Exits (CEDARS) modified to add a note after the Exit date field: “Enter the day after the student’s last day in the program. (Exit Date can equal Entry Date if applicable.)”.
  • Special Program Enrollment in Special Education (CEDARS I file) pages already had the note after the Exit date field: “Enter the day after the student’s last day in the program. (Exit Date can equal Entry Date if applicable.)” and was able to save records with the same start and end date.
  • CEDARS K Files are updated to not subtract a day from the Exit Date when exitdate = entrydate.
PSSR-295404Teachers Portal - Work Based Learning Activities Link is displaying classes that are not assigned to the current teacher

The logic for the Vocational Completer Information page is updated to ensure that a teacher can only view/edit classes that are assigned to them.

PSSR-293680WA State Transcript Reporting - Incorrect School of Record for Some Students

Washington State Transcript 2008 and beyond - version 3.9

In cases where a student has multiple school enrollments with the same start date, the report logic is updated to select the enrollment with the most recent exit date to populate the 'School of Record' details in the report heading.
