K - Special Education Programs File 2021-2022: Version 21.1

The CEDARS K - Special Education Programs File 2021-2022 file is updated to only report the Pre-K skills elements (K16 - K24) for students having a PK enrollment in the reporting year.

CEDARS 21-22 Changes: J File Updates for Fall 2021

The English Learners (Limited English Proficiency) Enrollments page is updated to include newly announced changes to support the collection and reporting of WIDA assessments:

• J18 – Placement Test Code: Three new or updated test options:

  • 8 – WIDA ACCESS (not in Washington Public Schools)

  • 9 – WIDA Alt ACCESS (not in Washington Public Schools)

  • 10 – WIDA Screener (in Washington Public Schools)

• J21– Placement Status

  • Placement status value descriptions for 0 - 6 are updated to match the descriptions for the applicable WIDA assessments.

• J23 - Overall Placement Test Score (New Field)

  • A drop-down list of valid Overall Placement Test Score values are added.

  • Note: The J23 data element is added to the English Learner Enrollments screen, but will not be included in the J File output. OSPI will add the J23 element to CEDARS production in the spring 2022 CEDARS update. PowerSchool will update the J File to include J-23 at a later date.

  • Table.Field Name: S_WA_STU_LEP_C.OverallPlacementTestScore

This release does not include a J File report change. No report changes are needed to support the reporting of additional drop-down values added to existing fields.
