PSSR-282067All States/Provinces: CRDC 2020-2021 Report - Common School PDF and CRDC School 1 Template Updates

CRDC 2020-2021 Report: Version 1.2

The CRDC 2020-2021 Report school PDF and school submission CSV files are updated with the following changes:

  • The Retention Yes/No questions (RETN-1) default to N/A in the PDF and null in the submission files for grade levels not applicable to the school.
  • Retention counts (RETN-2) (for each grade) are modified to return the value of N/A if the corresponding RETN-1 value is N/A instead of defaulting to 0's for all grades.
  • Corporal Punishment counts (DISC-7a) provide a value of N/A if DISC-6 is also reported as N/A.
  • School Staff FTE Counts (STAF-1 to STAF-3 and SECR-1) now report as a blank value in the school PDF and submission file if the fields are blank on the School CRDC PowerSchool screens. Prior to this change, blank values were reported as 0’s in the school PDF and submission file.
PSSR-283622Import Process Improvements for Career Tech Indicators

Import Process for TEA Calculated Career Tech Indicators Version: 22.2.1
The import process is now updated with a modified design to improve error handling and increase the reliability of the imports. In addition, the School Year parameter is modified to present the drop-down list with values that match the Academic Year column in the TEA file: 2021, 2022, and so on. The on-screen text now prompts the user: "Select the Academic Year as displayed in column A of the TEA input file."

SFTP Support for Key Texas Reports

Campus Summary: Version 22.2.1
Student Detail: Version 22.2.1
Unique ID Enrollment Event Tracking: Version 22.2.1
Student Unique ID Request: Version 22.2.1
Attendance Verification Report: Version 22.2.1
A new runtime parameter to support SFTP output for the above Texas reports is now available. SFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol and is used to transmit files over the web when sensitive data needs to be protected. Many PowerSchool districts are already using SFTP to transmit files to third party vendors, to send files to a secure folder on the district’s network, or to schedule and run the Texas Interchanges and other Texas reports on a nightly basis.

  • SFTP Connection Setup
    • In order to take advantage of the SFTP option, an SFTP connection must first be configured in PowerSchool. An existing SFTP connection can be used, or a new connection can be defined.
    • The SFTP Setup is performed on the following page in PowerSchool: Start Page> System> System Settings> Plugin Management Configuration> Remote Connection Manager> Remote Connection Manager> Create Connection
      • Name: Define a name for the SFTP connection.
      • Description: Enter a description
      • Protocol: SFTP (default)
      • Host: Enter the IP address of the server that the Texas reports will be sent to
      • Port: Enter the port number for the connection; the default value is 22
      • Username: Enter the username associated with the connection
      • Password: Enter the password associated with the connection
      • Confirm Password: Re-enter the password
      • Finger Print: optional (for additional server authentication)
      • Remote Path: Enter the path to the designated folder such as /TXReports
      • Allow Download: Not Applicable
      • Allow Upload: check this field to allow the scheduled Texas reports to be uploaded from the PowerSchool server to the designated folder.
    • Once all the necessary information has been entered, select the “Test Connection” button to verify that a successful connection can be established. If the Test Connection is unsuccessful, verify that the hostname, port, username, and password are correct.
