Ed-Fi Framework: Updates to User Role Permissions in Ed-Fi

The Ed-Fi publishing screens for students and staff now align with user roles and security group permissions.

Navigation:

• System Management > Security > Security Groups > Group (Name) > Configure Page Permissions

• Student Pages > Data Exchange

• Staff Pages > Data Exchange

Permission Levels:

1. Group Default: The user inherits the default permissions assigned to other members of the group.

2. No Access: The user does not see the Publishing page menu item for students or staff.

3. Read-Only: The user can view the Publishing menu item for students or staff, navigate to it, and review JSON or publishing data details. However, they cannot republish or delete records.

4. Edit: The user has full access to student/staff publishing pages, including the ability to republish and delete records.

Ed-Fi: Career Readiness Selection Criteria Update

This is an update to PSSR-369504 released in SR_24.12.2.0.The selection criteria updated in SR_24.12.3.0 now look for any of the following conditions:

1. The Career Readiness Grade 12 – Fall checkbox is selected on the Students Precode Page

2. The Career Readiness Grade 12 – Spring checkbox is selected on the Students Precode Page

3. The student has an appropriate ninth grade code.

Ed-Fi: Updates to employmentStatusDescriptor 

The Ed-Fi processing for employmentStatusDescriptor in SC has been updated to publish:

• 1 if the staff is active in any of the schools

• 2 if the staff is inactive in all the schools

This update ensures that the Ed-Fi code will determine the staff's status based on their activity across all schools they are mapped to, rather than relying on the Active checkbox on the Staff page in individual schools.

Ed-Fi: Updates to StudentAssessmentRegistration for Students with Multiple Enrollments

Fixed an issue where StudentAssessmentRegistrations was not publishing current school data for students with multiple enrollments in the same year.

Note: After this update, assessments will need to be republished using the Publish All option to display the correct StudentAssessmentRegistrations data. If the correct data is not displaying after the first Publish All, please try again.
