State Reporting 23.3.2.0 Release Notes

Problem: The order and timing of deletes were not always occurring correctly based on the dependencies of each resource. For example, when a section is deleted, events are generated for section, studentSectionAssignment, staffSectionAssignment, etc. These records are processed in any order, however, a section cannot be deleted until all dependent resources have been deleted. This resulted in a failed delete with the state ODS and this failure is not communicated back to the user, thus leaving the ODS and PowerSchool out of sync.

Solution: When delete events are published, they will now occur with the lowest record first back up to the highest record. This will result in studentSectionAssignment and staffSectionAssignment being published before the section is published. This may not work correctly each time due to simultaneous publishing. If a record fails, it now appears in the Errors section on the dashboard with an error from the ODS stating that there is a dependency preventing the record from being deleted. The record will then retry the delete every 10 minutes up to 1 hour. After 1 hour, the record will remain as an error and reconciliation will need to be run to remove the dependencies.

The SC Student Information page is updated for the “Include this student in State Reporting” field (S_SC_STU_X.includeinreporting) changes to reflect in the STUDENTS.State_ExcludeFromReporting field appropriately.

If S_SC_STU_X.includeinreporting is marked NO ( the database value is 1), this updates STUDENTS.State_ExcludeFromReporting to True.

All reports will work as before.

SC01 Data Verification: Version: 3.23

SC01 updated to handle invalid ‘Grade incompatible with EFA code - Record -1’ or ‘EIA date for school enrollment should match the student's school enrollment that is not a No Show enrollment’ errors for students with multiple school enrollments and Multiple EFA/EIA Records.

Known Issues: The changes made in SR_23.3.1.0 State Reporting 23.3.1.0 Release Notes (powerschool.com) - PSSR 294434 have been reverted. Hence EFA/EIA records that fall outside of the student's school enrollment dates but within the school term dates do not produce validation errors now.

Ed-Fi publishing logic has been updated to publish No Show students (having the same date for entry date and exit date) for the following resources:

• Students – StudentIdentification Category
• studentEducationOrganizationAssociations – Student Enrollments Category
