You must define the following exit codes for your district, exactly as they are listed in the table. The descriptions are optional and may be abbreviated.

Code	Definition
D1	Expulsion by board of education
D2	Incarceration
D3	Dropout – phys, mental, emotional disability
D4	Dropout – dissatisfied with school
D5	Dropout – economic necessity / employment
D6	Dropout – married and/or pregnant
D7	Dropout - new residence, school status unknown
D8	Dropout - reason unknown
D9	Death of student
D10	Not of legal school age
D11	Student reached maximum age, did not graduate
L	Graduation Code
PPE	Parentally Placed Exited
T1	Transfer with the same school
T2	Transfer to another school in district
T3	Transfer to nonpublic school within the state
T4	Transfer to another public school outside district
T6	Transfer to institute for incarceration
T7	Transfer to state institution for disability
T8	Transfer out of state or country
T9	Transfer to parental instruction
TA	Transfer to alternative Adult Ed for HS diploma
TC	Transfer to charter school
TD	Transfer to choice school
TP	Transfer to private facility
TR	Transfer to a renaissance school
