PSSR-232839Crisis Event Data Entry - New

Additional Reference: PSSR-235999

Districts need to report students affected by Crisis Events like COVID-19, and if they were displaced due to the event. A student can be associated with multiple Crisis Events during a school year; however, so far only COVID-19 has been identified. To support reporting this information a new Crisis Events functionality has been added. This allows school districts to add, edit, and manage such events.

The Crisis Events data entry is available from the State/Province - NE page. You can add, update, and delete crisis event records. The Crisis Event page has the following validations:

  • Event and Start Date are required.
  • Users cannot enter a future Start Date for an event
  • Events cannot be duplicated with the same start date.
  • An event cannot have overlapping dates.

A new table, S_STU_CRISISEVENT_C, is added to store crisis event records for each student with the following fields:

  • CrisisEventDescriptor
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • DisplacedStudentIndicator
PSSR-232840Publish Crisis Events on StudentEducationOrganizationAssociations

Crisis Events data is now published on StudentEducationOrganizationAssociations resource to Nebraska ADVISER system. The Crisis Events data is a list of multiple items containing the following elements:

  • crisisEventDecriptor
  • displacedStudentIndicator

The data entry for capturing Crisis Events is part of PSSR-232839, which is also part of this release.
