Organization Calendars
This category represents information about sessions, grading periods, and calendar dates. The Organization Calendars category includes the following data views and resources:
In the Nebraska Ed-Fi implementation, where multiple schools in PowerSchool use a single School ID:
- With the exception of the calendars resource, all other calendar data from the associated schools is combined for publication via Ed-Fi.
- The calendar resource is published per school for for each track where a student has a valid enrollment to publish
- The published values are the earliest BeginDate, the latest EndDate, and the greatest value for TotalInstructionalDays among those schools.
Calendars
This view captures basic information about current year calendars resource as published within the Organization Calendars category. The layout includes the School Name, Name (Calendar), First Day of Term, Last Day of Term, Days in Session, Last Publish Date, and the Publishing ID.
Note: The district must configure Ed-Fi Code Set Mapping to map local codes for [Calendar_Day]Type to Ed-Fi calendarEventDescriptors.

Selection Criteria
Records are published if the following criteria are met:
- The school must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The calendar date for the district or the school falls within the year for the Term selected in the PowerSchool UI.
Resource Output
- A calendar record is published for each unique calendar per school per track where a student has a valid enrollment within the current school year.
- LEAs and Schools may upload (publish) data to the ODS in real time or on-demand ("Run Now" button).
Note: Click Export to export the data collection results to an Excel spreadsheet.

Calendar Date Events
This view captures basic information about current year calendar date events as published in the calendarDateEvents resource within the Organization Calendars category. The layout includes the School Name, Date, Event Descriptor, Event Duration, Last Publish Date, and the Publishing ID.
Note: The district must configure Ed-Fi Code Set Mapping to map local codes for [Calendar_Day]Type to Ed-Fi calendarEventDescriptors.

Resource Output
- Within the year for the Term selected in the PowerSchool UI, a calendarDate record is published for each day within each unique school calendar associated with a Nebraska Instructional Program.
- CalendarDate records include both instructional and non-instructional days.
- As multiple events may occur on the same date, a separate calendarEvent is published for each unique combination of Duration and Event Descriptor within the calendarEvent complex type.
- LEAs and Schools may upload (publish) data to the ODS in real time or on-demand ("Run Now" button).

Sessions (Terms)
This view captures the sessions/terms defined at each school within the district as published in the Session resource within the Organization Calendars category. Ed-Fi sessions are the equivalent of PowerSchool terms. The layout provides the School Name, Year, Name of Term, First Day of Term, Last Day of Term, Last Publish Date, and the Publishing ID.

This resource represents the prescribed span of time when an education institution is open, instruction is provided, and students are under the direction and guidance of teachers and/or education institution administration. A session may be interrupted by one or more vacations.

Selection Criteria
Records are published if the following criteria are met:
- The school must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The term or term portion exists within the year for the Term selected in the PowerSchool UI.
Resource Output
- A separate Session record is published for each unique term record at each school based on [Terms]Portion and [Terms]Abbreviation.
- The gradingPeriodReference complex type includes a reference to each unique grading period associated with the session (refer to the gradingPeriod resource for additional information).
- The session resource is dependent on the prior publishing of the following resources: gradingPeriod.
- LEAs and Schools may upload (publish) data to the ODS in real time or on-demand ("Run Now" button).
