PSSR-295350Student Core Extract: Does Not Pull Remote Students

Student Core Extract: Version 4.9

A customer reported the that Student Core Extract report does not pull students with remote enrollments, specifically summer school enrollments. When enrolling students in summer school PowerSchool can put the enrollment into the ReEnrollments table. The Student Core Extract matches the current enrollment entrydate to the latest in ps_enrollment_reg (view of regular enrollments). In this case the summer school enrollment in the ReEnrollment table is the latest, not the Students table. This update will filter out school enrollments from ps_enrollment_reg if the school is excluded from state reporting. Therefore the report should be able to match the Students table enrollment thus providing the student records as desired.

The Summer School enrollment records will not extract with this fix. This fix is intended for customers who have created summer school enrollments but still need to run the June cycle for regular schools.

Student Core Extract: One Prior Ten Update For Virtual Students

Student Core Extract: Version 4.9

The Student Core Extract is updated and the OnePriorTen field calculation is updated for students whose most recent learning preference for the reporting period is set to Virtual Instruction (VI). For these virtual students, if the field att_minutes_present in ps_adaadm_defaults_all is not equal to zero or is null, then we consider that student present for the day. If the student is present one day during the one prior ten dates then, the OnePriorTen field extracts as N. Otherwise, it extracts as Y.

Other non-standard scenarios when OnePriorTen extracts as Y are:

  • Students that No-Show.

  • Students who have left before the one prior ten dates.

  • When there are no records in the ADA/ADM attendance views for the students during the one prior ten dates.
