NCEA School Summary: Version 23.10.2

The Diocese and School Summary PDF forms are updated to remove references to specific school years for the principal and teacher retention questions. This is a cosmetic update only with no changes to the report logic.

  • Diocese Information for NCEA Reporting > Principal Retention

    • Number of principals who were employed during the last school year

    • Number of principals who did not return for the current school year

  • School Information for NCEA Reporting > Teacher Retention

    • Number of teachers who were employed during the last school year

    • Number of teachers who did not return for the current school year

General / SRM / Early Childhood Collection Enhancement

General / SRM / Early Childhood Version: 5.4

The General and SRM reports are updated to list only students expected to be in the file without having to select the Exclude Student from MSDS Reporting flag on students that should not report. The students selected for the files are as follows:

  • The student’s enrollment is within the report parameter dates and:

    • The student is not enrolled at a school that is excluded from state reporting.

    • The student’s Entry Date and Exit Date are not the same date.

    • The Exclude Student from MSDS Reporting flag is not selected.

    • The student is in Grade Level or Student Grade or Setting of 0-12 or 14 or any of the following are true:

      • The student is in Grade Level 13.

        • Although this is not an accepted grade level in MSDS, the grade is included for those districts that mark their EMC students as Grade 13 and manipulate the file to change the grade level before uploading to MSDS. If this grade level is used for students who should not be in the General or SRM collections, the Exclude Student from MSDS Reporting flag should be selected for those students.

      • The student is in any grade level and the Include Early On Data in MSDS Reporting flag is selected.

      • The student is in any grade level and the Include Special Education Data in MSDS Reporting flag is selected.

      • The student is in any grade level and the Initial IEP > Determination Date is within the report parameters and:

        • The Timeliness of Initial IEP = 22 or

        • The Date of Parental Consent is not blank.

The Early Childhood report is updated to list only students expected to be in the file without having to select the Exclude from Student MSDS Reporting flag on students that should not report. The students selected for the files are as follows:

  • The student’s enrollment is within the report parameter dates and:

    • The student is not enrolled at a school that is excluded from state reporting.

    • The student’s Entry Date and Exit Date are not the same date.

    • The Exclude Student from MSDS Reporting flag is not selected.

    • The student is in grade level 30 OR the Early Childhood Programs > Student Grade or Setting is (30) Early Childhood/Early On and:

      • The student’s Early Childhood Programs enrollment is within the report parameter dates and:

        • Early Childhood Program is not blank.

The Historical Course Grade Edit had non-relevant text in the title that is now removed.

Per CEPI, three new language codes are added to the Primary Language and Home Language fields on the student Title III English Learner and Immigrant page.

A new parameter is added to the report to allow the user to select General/SRM students or Early Childhood Students in the report.
