Discipline Action (Consequence) Codes
The following consequence codes must be set up at the District Setup and assigned at the student level.

Suspension/Out-of-School
Note: The student is temporarily prohibited from participating in school and no provision is made for instructional/educational services during this period (special education students are still expected to receive SPED services in accordance with federal law).

Expulsion/Out-of-School
Note: The student is removed from school for at least the remainder of the school semester with no provision is made for instructional/educational services during this period (special education students are still expected to receive SPED services in accordance with federal law).

|
Suspension/In-School
Note: The student is temporarily removed from their usual classroom and moved to an alternative setting/program, on the same campus, for the minimum of one complete school day, with no interruption of instructional/educational services.

|
Expulsion/In-School
Note: The student is temporarily removed from their usual classroom and moved to an offsite alternative setting/program, not on the same campus, for the minimum of one complete school day, with no interruption of instructional/educational services.

Suspension/Alternate Site
Note: The student is removed from their usual classroom and moved to an alternative setting/program on the same campus for a period of time specified by the LEA, with no interruption of instructional/educational services.

Expulsion/Alternate Site
Note: The student is removed from their usual classroom and moved to an offsite alternative setting/program, not on the same campus, for at least the remainder of the school semester, with no interruption of instructional/educational services.
