D38 – Dyslexia Indicator has been introduced as a new column.
This is an enrollment-specific field and will display a value of 0 or 1 in all applicable reports.
In QERY and SMSC reports, this column will be included as a filler (i.e., not populated).
Column Removed:
D53 – Non-Resident Transportation has been removed from all reports as part of the 2025–2026 updates.
Column Reference Update:
Updated Column labels from D38 to D53.
Total Columns:
Despite these changes, the total number of data columns across all reports remains at 96.

KIDS 25-26: Update to D40 Kansas At-Risk Program Participation
The D40 – Kansas At-Risk Program Participation field has been enhanced to support a more granular and standardized data structure, based on new state reporting requirements.
Key Changes:
Field Length Expansion:
The length of the D40 field has been increased to 12 characters to accommodate a bit-oriented format reflecting 12 at-risk criteria.
Read-Only Field with Default Value:
The D40 field is now read-only, with a default value of blank.
Values are stored in a bit-oriented format.
Blanks will be displayed as dashes (–) in the user interface.
Bit-Oriented Format Guide:
An information icon (ℹ️) has been added next to the D40 field with this tooltip message:
“A bit-oriented format. Position 1 is the right-most digit of the 12 digits. Position 12 is the left-most. Thus, 100000000000 represents the Eligibility Criteria - Not working on academic grade level.”
New Sub-fields for D40 Generation:
12 new dropdown sub-fields have been introduced to generate the D40 value automatically.
Each sub-field corresponds to a specific eligibility criterion and stores a value of Yes (1), No (0), or Blank (default: Null).

The D58 – Preschool-Aged At-Risk Program Participation field has been redesigned to support a structured bit-oriented format.
Key Changes:

The length of the D58 field has been increased to 9 characters to support multiple eligibility criteria.

The D58 field is now read-only, with a default value of blank.
Values are stored in a bit-oriented format.
