PSSR-396419 | KIDS 25-26: Update to D40 Kansas At-Risk Program Participation | The D40 – Kansas At-Risk Program Participation field has been enhanced to support a more granular and standardized data structure, based on new state reporting requirements.
Key Changes:Field Length Expansion: Read-Only Field with Default Value: The D40 field is now read-only, with a default value of blank. Values are stored in a bit-oriented format.
Bit-Oriented Format Guide: New Sub-fields for D40 Generation: 12 new dropdown sub-fields have been introduced to generate the D40 value automatically. Each sub-field corresponds to a specific eligibility criterion and stores a value of Yes (1), No (0), or Blank (default: Null). Field Order: Descending from Position 12 to Position 1, as listed below:

Validation Rules: A soft validation has been added on each position. Validation Message: “Required for All Grade Levels except IT & UG” This ensures accurate data collection across applicable grade levels.

PSSR-396420 | KIDS 25-26: Update to D58 Preschool-Aged At Risk Program Participation | The D58 – Preschool-Aged At-Risk Program Participation field has been redesigned to support a structured bit-oriented format.
Key Changes:Field Length Expansion: Read-Only Field with Default Value: The D58 field is now read-only, with a default value of blank. Values are stored in a bit-oriented format.
Bit-Oriented Format Guide: An information icon (ℹ️) has been added next to the D58 field with the following tooltip message: “A bit-oriented format. Position 1 is the right-most digit of the 9 digits. Position 9 is the left-most. Thus, 100000000 represents the Eligibility Criteria – Poverty – student qualifies for FREE meals under the National School Lunch Program.”
New Sub-fields for D58 Generation: 9 new dropdown sub-fields have been created to auto-generate the D58 value. Each dropdown offers Blank, Yes (1), and No (0) options, with Null as the default. Stored values: 0 or 1. Display Order: Descending from Position 9 to Position 1.

For Position 3, an info icon (ℹ️) provides the following additional detail: “Developmentally or academically delayed based on validated assessments, in at least one of the following areas, but not eligible for IEP: – Cognitive development – Physical development – Communication/literacy – Social-emotional/behavior – Adaptive behavior/self-help skills”
