Ed-Fi Framework: Updates to User Role Permissions in Ed-Fi

The Ed-Fi publishing screens for students and staff now align with user roles and security group permissions.

Navigation:

• System Management > Security > Security Groups > Group (Name) > Configure Page Permissions

• Student Pages > Data Exchange

• Staff Pages > Data Exchange

Permission Levels:

1. Group Default: The user inherits the default permissions assigned to other members of the group.

2. No Access: The user does not see the Publishing page menu item for students or staff.

3. Read-Only: The user can view the Publishing menu item for students or staff, navigate to it, and review JSON or publishing data details. However, they cannot republish or delete records.

4. Edit: The user has full access to student/staff publishing pages, including the ability to republish and delete records.
