Discipline Incident Letters: Version 1.0

New Discipline Letter functionality is now available that allows end users to create and configure discipline letters, from Incident Management, that can be sent home to parents and guardians if their student was involved in a discipline-related incident.

These discipline letters are created at the district level and can be pushed out to, and made available at, a school or schools within the district.

Classic UI: Start Page, District Setup, Incident Management, Discipline Incident Letters

Enhanced UI: Start Page, District Management, Behavior, Discipline Incident Letters

The discipline letters are generated by a new Discipline Incident Letters report that is located on the System Reports tab

Note: Discipline Incident Letters only work with Incident Management.

Ed-Fi IN 6: Updates to the Identities

With this State Reporting Release, the below-mentioned updates are now available:

  • The automatic logic for the Identities will now search for the Approved Requests and existing STNs/SPNs returned from the State and will assign the STNs and SPNs automatically with the best possible match.

  • The Update Identification is now working if the race is American Indian - Alaska Native.

  • For some Districts, the manually entered STN/SPN was getting removed after a few minutes. This issue has now been resolved as well.

EDFI_IN_6: Publishing Updates to the Course Attempt Result

With this State Reporting Release, the publishing logic for the publishing of the course attempt result type has now been updated to publish In Progress in the below-mentioned scenarios:

  • If a grade has not been entered for the stored grade record and the CC record is active.

  • If the final grade mapping has not been set for the associated term with the stored grade and the CC record is active,

  • If the course grade mapping/course completion mapping has not been set up for the associated grade scale and the CC record is active.

In the above scenarios, the moment the CC record becomes inactive or CC end date is on or before the current date, republishing the Transcript record will publish the Course Attempt Result type as No Grade Awarded. Furthermore, the precedence of the mapping remains the same.

Minor Fixes to the Publishing of the Discipline Data and the Fields

With this State Reporting Release, the below-mentioned issues have been resolved:

  • The Discipline data won’t try to get published if the Incident Type is not equal to State Reportable.

  • The Date of Initial Entry Date in the US has been brought back to the MLL tab.

  • The Interim Alternative Education field was not working as expected and the export was not working correctly.

Updates to the Publishing of the SPED Data

With this State Reporting Release, the Publish SPED Student prior to School Start Date has now been renamed to Publish SPED Student with no active enrollment and it will be utilized for publishing the SPED data for No Show and Summer Withdrawn Students. The existing functionality of publishing the records prior to the school start date remains the same.
