The logic for publishing Calendar Sessions has been updated to take the sessions into consideration in cases where the session has been mapped to a published grading period.

Ed-Fi: Exclude from Ed-Fi Option Needed for Courses and Sections

The option to exclude a course or section from Ed-Fi has been added, and records will be published or excluded based on the following logic:

• Courses set to be excluded are not published unless one or more active sections are set to be included.

  • If one or more sections are set to be included, both the course and the appropriate section records are published, regardless of the value set at the course level. This is done to prevent publishing dependencies from occurring.

• Sections set to be excluded are not published, regardless of the value set at the course level.

• Sections set to a value of “Same As Course” are excluded or included based solely on the setting at the Course level.

The ‘Instrument Used’ option list on the student’s LM tab drop-down is updated to pull from the list of descriptors used in Ed-Fi. You may need to download the latest descriptors for this to work as expected.​

Student Programs: Updated logic for deriving values and for displaying dependencies.

The following updates have been made to the Student Programs publishing logic:

• Dependencies are generated only for active students.

• Dependencies are generated only for the student's enrolled schools.

• A Student Program record is published for each enrollment that falls within the current school year.

  • Values for each record are derived from the respective enrollment, including the Begin Date and End Date.

  • The access school override is considered where appropriate.
