Tips to Troubleshoot Attendance Issues
Idaho Student Attendance file Issue
First, determine whether the issue is with the state report or a general attendance issue.
How to determine the type of issue?

Identify an example student

On the System Reports tab, run the ADA/ADM by Date for the example student for the same date range that the Student Attendance report was run.

The ADA/ADM by Date is helpful when you run it for a single example student as the student’s membership and attendance are listed for each day, this enables you to easily identify and track the issues.

Review the completed report to verify if the output is correct.

If the report is correct, then the issue is with the Student Attendance report. If the issue is with the Student Attendance report, then it is recommended that you open a support ticket.

If the report is incorrect, then the issue is likely a general attendance issue.

Items to check when diagnosing an attendance issue

Are the student’s school entry/exit dates are correct compared to years and terms?

Review the student’s Transfer Info page.

Are the student’s course enrollment dates in sync with the school entry/exit dates?

Compare the Transfer Info dates with the All Enrollments dates?

Are the student’s course enrollments correct? Are there any overlapping enrollments or enrollment gaps?

Review the student’s Transfer Info and All Enrollments pages.

Is the student assigned to the correct FTE?

Review the student’s Transfer Info page.

Is the FTE is set to the correct attendance mode?

Is the calendar filled out correctly?

Is the Attendance conversion set up correctly?

Are the attendance codes set up properly, to count towards ADA/ADM?

Is the nightly attendance refresh running and finishing without error?

Review the system log, shortly after midnight for any errors.

On checking the listed if all appear correct, refreshing the attendance data may fix the problem (same function as mentioned in the previous bullet point).

How to refresh attendance data?

Start Page > Special Functions > Attendance Functions > Refresh Premier Attendance Views Data

Run for the full year and for all students.
This process should run automatically at night, on in-session days. In the system log, if you notice an error about this process, open a support ticket.

Items to check when diagnosing an ISEE Student Attendance issue

Is the student assigned to the correct District Calendar? (when applicable)

Ensure the Type field is populated for each day in the school calendar.
