Creating Incidents: Incident Description
Use the steps below to populate the Incident Description portion of an incident. See the Appendix for code values.
- Log into the school associated with the incident.
- Navigate to Start Page > Special Functions > Incident Management > Create New Incident.
- Choose the desired value from the Incident Type pop-up menu.
- Populate the Incident Date and Time based on when the incident occurred.
- Choose the appropriate Time Frame from the pop-up menu.
- Populate the Title. The description is recommended, but not required.
- Choose the appropriate Location from the pop-up menu.
- Based on the Location code selected, a location subcode pop-up menu may appear. If so, choose the appropriate subcode from the pop-up menu.
- Populate a Financial Impact value, if appropriate.
- Click Submit Incident to save the changes.
