State Reporting 20.11.2.0 Release Notes

A release announcement will be posted on PowerSchool Community when the installer is available for download. Refer to 2020 State Reporting Releases for release dates.

Minimum PowerSchool SIS version required to install SR 20.11.2.0.

Before installing SR 20.11.2.0, verify that you are running one of the following versions of PowerSchool SIS.

  • PowerSchool SIS 19.4.5.3
  • PowerSchool SIS 19.11.2.4
  • PowerSchool SIS 20.4.5.2
  • PowerSchool SIS 20.11.0.0

As of November 25, 2020, PowerSchool State Reporting only supports PowerSchool 19.4.5.3 or later, and our Technology and Support teams will focus solely on supporting PowerSchool versions 19.4.5.3 or later.

The minimum interval between the third and fourth DTaP dose is updated to four months. The interval is now reduced from six months to four months.

Contact Tracing Report Update - Busing Data

Contact Tracing Report: Version 1.1

The Contact Tracing report is updated and now pulls busing data based on a newly added report parameter.

With the busing data parameter checked, the report will pull students that may have shared the bus with the report the student is run for based on the following:

  • Bus Number

  • Route Number

  • Day

  • From/To School

PSSR-239637New Report - Student Certificate of Immunization

CO Student Certificate of Immunization: Version 1.0

The Student Certificate of Immunization is now available in the State Reports tab and provides dose dates for twelve vaccines in a form provided by the Department of Public Health.

The report must be run for a student selection. Otherwise, an error message is displayed, and the Submit button is disabled.

The logic pulls the Parent/Guardian Name based on the following logic:

  • Pull the name from the student contact record with the highest contact priority order where the Lives With and Custody flags are selected
    • If there are no contacts that match the criteria, the above fields are considered
    • If the above fields are blank, then the mother field
    • If the above fields are blank, then the father field

This report pulls vaccine dose dates based on specific State Report Code values in the vaccines/exemptions. View the CO State Reporting Help for more information on this setup.

PSSR-239614SDA Report Updates - Ability to Choose the Student ID When Group Data by Student is Selected

End-users can now select the Student ID number (options are noted below) if the SDA discipline reports are run, selecting the Group Data by Student parameter. The options are:

  • Local Student Number - Student_Number
    • The header of the last row in the output file reflects 'LASID' if the local student number is selected
  • State Student Number - State_StudentNumber
    • The header of the last row in the output file reflects 'SASID' if the state student number is selected

Student Digital Equity and Learning Preference Tracking Available in the Public Portal

A new page is now available (if enabled) in the public portal that will enable parents and guardians to enter learning preference and digital equity data for their student or students.

This functionality is disabled by default. To enable, navigate to the following page:

  • Start Page> District Setup> Miscellaneous

If enabled, parents/guardians have the ability to create records and populate the following fields:

  • Effective Date

    • Defaults to the current date

  • Learning Preference

  • Requested Timeframe

  • Requesting Parent/Guardian

    • Defaults to the current user

  • Internet in Residence*

  • Internet Access*

  • Internet Performance*

  • Device Access*

    • Only display options 1, 2, & 5

The Comment field is not visible when a parent/guardian is creating a record but it will the following string will get saved for any record created in the public portal:

  • Created in the public portal

Additionally, if a parent/guardian has entered a Digital Equity & Learning Preference record previously and they create a new record, the above elements that are marked with an asterisk will be pre-populated based on the values in the existing (previous) record.

PSSR-246810Student School Association - Retention Code Option 3 Added

The Retention Code value 3 (Yes, 12th grader with an IEP who is being retained for transition services) is now added to the Retention Code drop-down on the Edit Current/Previous School Enrollment pages.
