State Reporting 21.3.2.0 Release Notes

When a new EL program eligibility history record is created, with an Education Program Code of (307) LIP - Parent Opted Out of EL Program, the record did not appear on the ELA Status/Program History page as expected. Instead, it was listed on the Program Eligibility Page, which is not intended to show LIP programs.

The respective pages are updated so that 307 programs correctly display on the ELA Status/Program History page and not on the Program Eligibility page.

Course Section Records: Version 6.6
Added a new runtime parameter Include records for Course code 1000. When the value selected is Yes, the records associated with the course where the course number or alternate course number = 1000, will be included in the Course Sections Records report.

By default, this parameter will be set to No.

The following updates have been made to the Learning Preferences functionality:

• Learning Preferences Code creation link is moved to District Setup page under the Code Sets link.
• The Code Start Date & Code End Date are now editable.
• The Learning Preferences link at Student-Level is renamed to Digital Equity & Learning Preferences.
• When creating a new record, field values from the last record with the greatest Effective Date carry forward if present.

SSID Enrollment Records - Version 7.3

In the SSID / SENR extract, the UC/CSU indicator is updated to only apply to students with a School Completion Status Code of 100, 106, or 108. The field will be extracted as blank/null for all other students.

The report has been updated to no longer reference custom fields, which corrects this behavior.

SSID Enrollment Records - Version 7.3
If a user runs the SSID Enrollment report for the current year, it will pull records from previous years if the associated Concurrent Enrollment does not have an exit date.

Added a validation error message "This concurrent/secondary enrollment has a start date outside the current school year and has no exit date entered." which will identify that a Secondary Enrollment is missing the Exit Date in the previous year.

California School Immunization Record: Version 3.5

Added a new runtime parameter ' Report Student Name as', which provides an option to extract a student's legal name when running the California School Immunization Record.

The display of the parameter and its values are dependent on the configurations made to the California School Immunization Record on the Report Parameter Authorizations page (District ->System Administrator -> Report Parameter Authorizations)

Student Information Records - Version 5.8

The report logic is updated to extract the first and last names of Guardians independently in the fields listed below:

Field 39 - Guardian 1 first name
Field 40 - Guardian 1 last name
Field 41 - Guardian 2 first name
Field 42 - Guardian 2 last name

Code (55): Regional Occupational Centers/Program has been removed from the Work-based Learning Type option list.

The CALPADS API File Submission page has been updated to display all files submitted during the selected time frame.

The CALPADS API Submissions functionality is updated to account for multiple user authentication. After successful authorization, a user can upload a file and then upload status will display the correct user name in the "File uploaded By" column of status response.

The CALPADS SPED API Submission page is updated to ensure that the user's file selection persists until the value is updated manually.

Student Course Sections Records - Version: 4.3

Added a new runtime parameter Include records for Course code 1000 . When the value selected is Yes, the records associated to the course where the course number or alternate course number = 1000, will be included in the Student Course Sections Records report.

CALPADS Student Information Records (SINF) - Version: 5.7

The report is updated to ensure that the report options display consistently. This ensures that all records contain the expected value for the Effective Date field.

The Snapshot reports are fixed now and the reports are running and showing the completed successfully status as expected.

• Learning Preferences Code creation link is moved to District Setup page under the Code Sets link.
  • If a state has code sets disabled then the Learning Preferences Code creation link can be found at the last section under the Code Setup Header

• Access to the Digital Equity & Learning Preferences link, at the student level, is now governed by a check box in the "Edit Security Group" page (path below).
  Path: Start page> System> Groups>[ select group ]
  Upon receiving the update, administrators must go into security groups and give the appropriate groups access to this page.
  Note: This security group setting is suppressed for ND and TX.

Student Participation and Engagement By Student - Version 1.0

A new admin report is introduced pertaining to students' weekly engagement and daily participation tracking. Like the recently released Student Participation and Engagement By Class, this report outputs data that has been verified and stored via the Combined Daily Participation and Weekly Engagement Template in the teachers' portal. The main difference is that this report focuses on the student-level daily participation codes, and organizes it on a per-student basis. Each selected student gets his or her own distinct section of the output. Within that section, a table is rendered for each class the student was enrolled in, for which a teacher has submitted a verified form, during the selected date range. Within each table, a row is generated for each certified week, showing the codes for each of the five days.

Student Incident Records (SINC) - Version 1.8

When more than one action was attached to the same offender in an incident, and the actions had different values in either "Instructional Support Indicator" or "Removal to Interim Alternative Setting," the report would output multiple rows for that offender/incident, one for each distinct combination of the two values. This would cause submission errors, as only one record should be reported per offender/incident.

The report is updated to output only one row when multiple actions differ in attribute values. For "Instructional Support Indicator," if any attached action has a value of Y, the combined value will be Y. For "Removal to Interim Alternative Setting," the order of precedence is 1,2,3. A blank value is reported only if no attached action has a value populated for this attribute.

Work-Based Learning Extract (WBLR) - Version 1.0
Work-Based Learning (WBLR) extract is added for the 20-21 EOY 1 submission period. This extract is used to submit work-based learning completion information about a student. The school district or local education agency (LEA) must submit work-based learning completion information for students in any grades 9-12.
