Student Setup - JTED

The following data elements are required for student setup. The first two pages of navigation are removed for brevity:

Navigation: Start Page > Student.

  1. On the Start Page, select the School link at the top of the page.

  2. Choose the appropriate school from the pop-up menu.

  3. Click Submit.

  4. Select the first letter of the student’s last name.

  5. Select a student from the list. The last accessed student information page opens for the student selected.

On the Start Page, district can search for students in the child tables with the Student Number and State Student Number fields.

Use this page to update student data by generating a new previous enrollment record and a new current enrollment record, using special PS entry and exit codes. The PS codes are for internal use only, used to identify that student data was updated, but the student did not physically withdrawal from school. After submitting this page, navigate to the new current enrollment record (Start Page > Student > Transfer Info > Edit Current Enrollment) and assign the PS entry code. Then, navigate to the new previous enrollment record (Start Page > Student > Transfer Info > Edit Current Enrollment) and assign the PS exit code.

Choose the entry code for the school enrollment from the pop-up menu.

The PS exit code is used to track a change to a school enrollment that does not require an R entry code. For example, if the student is promoted from 3rd to 4th grade, a new school enrollment must be created to track the grade level change. Use PS codes to track changes to the following:

  • Grade Level

  • District of Residence

  • Full-Time Equivalency

  • Tuition Payer

  • Special Enrollment Code

Enter changes to these elements via Start Page > Student > State/Province – AZ > Change Enrollment. The new enrollment will appear on the Transfer Info page, where you can enter the appropriate entry code.

Note: The date is the day after the last day of school enrollment, even if that day occurs during a weekend.

Note: You must choose an exit code for school enrollments where the exit date is in the past.

JTED Satellite Tuition Payer

Used by AzEDS Publishing (not the JTED Student Information report).

Select the student's JTED Tuition Payer Code.

Note: if blank, AzEDS Publishing will default based on the student's grade level and non-JTED Tuition Payer code.

  • When publishing JTED Enrollments, if "JTED Satellite Tuition Payer" is blank, and student's grade is 9 then report "Tuition Payer" as 2

  • When publishing JTED Enrollments, if "JTED Satellite Tuition Payer" is blank, and student's grade in (10,11,12) then default JTED/CTED Tuition Payer according to the below logic:

    • When Transfer Info TP = 1, then report JTED TP = 1

    • When Transfer Info TP = 2, then report JTED TP = 2

    • When Transfer Info TP = 3, then report JTED TP = 2

    • When Transfer Info TP = 4, then report JTED TP = 1

    • When Transfer Info TP = 5, then report JTED TP = 5

    • When Transfer Info TP = 6, then report JTED TP = 1

    • When Transfer Info TP = 7, then report JTED TP = 1

Total Planeed Instructional Hours (CTED)

Enter the total planeed instructional hours.

  • If this field is blank, AzEDS publishing calculates hours from enrolled CTED classes during the enrollment dates based on the school’s Bell Schedule and Calendar days.

  • The Total Planeed Instructional Hours and Total Community College Enrolled Credits (CTED) are calculated without considering The total JTED Section Led by a CTE Instructor field if the School’s Type is set as CTED Main Campus.

Total Community College Enrolled Credits (CTED)

Enter the total community college enrolled credits.

The Total Planeed Instructional Hours and Total Community College Enrolled Credits (CTED) are calculated without considering The total JTED Section Led by a CTE Instructor field if the School’s Type is set as CTED Main Campus.
