SAIS Transaction Operation Codes

Transaction operation codes are used to indicate whether to add a new record, delete an existing record, or change/modify an existing record in the SAIS database. One operation code is included with each record sent to SAIS. Edits are made in the SAIS database in order for student data to match between SAIS and PowerSchool.

Code

Definition

A

Add

An add transaction operation code indicates that the transaction is new and needs to be added to the SAIS database. Once the transaction is added to SAIS, the information in the SAIS database should match the PowerSchool database.

D

Delete

A delete transaction operation code indicates that the transaction should be deleted from the SAIS database. Once the transaction is deleted from SAIS, the information in the SAIS database should match the PowerSchool database.

C

Change

A change transaction operation code indicates that a change was made to an existing record and the change should be recorded in the SAIS database. Once the data is updated for SAIS, the information in the SAIS database should match the PowerSchool database.
