Specialized Treatment Center (STC)
Introduction
A Specialized Treatment Center (STC) provides various levels of specialized services to students in grades K-12 who demonstrate needs not typically addressed in a regular educational setting. The ALSDE mandates that when a student is assigned to an STC, the enrolling district is responsible for reporting STC data to the state.
You can track the students who are enrolled in Specialized Treatment Centers. When you enroll a student in PowerSchool SIS, Alabama data collection fields that are specific to STC enrollment are available on the student's record.
An alert icon is displayed next to the student that is enrolled in Special Treatment Center. This helps you track the students using this specialized service.
