Exit Codes
The following exit codes must be set up at the district level and assigned at the student level.
State Code | Definition |
|---|---|
01 | Transfer to a public school in the same school district |
02 | Transfer to a public school in a different school district within Alaska |
03 | Transfer to a public school in a different state or country |
04 | Transfer to home schooling (non-district sponsored) |
05 | Transfer to a private school |
06 | Transfer to an institution (with an educational program) |
07 | Graduated with regular diploma |
08 | Graduated with regular diploma under a waiver |
09 | Completed school with other credentials (certificate of completion or attendance) |
10 | Death |
11 | Reached maximum age or services (over school age) |
12 | Discontinued schooling (DROPPED OUT) Reason include: pursuing GED, entering military, employment, family problems, pregnancy, alcohol/drug dependency, failing, truancy, administrative drop, illness. |
13 | Completed Grade 12, but did not pass exit exam |
14 | Involuntary withdrawal from school (expulsion) |
99 | Other (Please explain. Use comments in the note field). |
